Are you between 16 and 19 and passionate about filmmaking?

Get ready because the BFI short courses are coming to London this Autumn!

About

Calling All Young Filmmakers

CTVC are delighted to be the official lead partner for BFI Film Academy short courses in London. We are proudly partnered with Eastside London, Film and Video Workshop, and Silver Knight Entertainment to deliver short courses this Autumn!

Whether you’re into documentaries, animation and VFX, scripted dramas, or experimental films, we've got something for you.

You will receive an all round industry filmmaking experience.

This is your chance to sharpen those filmmaking skills, meet other film enthusiasts, attend special masterclasses with award-winning industry experts, and join our vast alumni network. At the end

of the course, we will celebrate together with a film screening

of your work in an iconic London cinema. Joining the course will give you access to a host of opportunities that will open many doors into the industry.

Our awesome courses run from October to December.

We welcome applications from all over London, but if you’re from Barking and Dagenham, Brent, Croydon, Enfield, or Newham, we've reserved 50% of our spots just for you!

All courses are free, and we have bursaries available to help with any access needs. If you need help completing the application form or have any questions about accessibility, please just ask!

Please be aware that there are 4 short courses running across London, so do ensure you that you choose the one which best suits your interests, schedule, and location. Check out the links below for more details about each course, and information about our fantastic delivery partners. Feel free to apply for all courses, but you can only attend one of them.
